Raised in the small town of London, Ohio, Alicia is an elementary school literacy specialist for her alma mater. After a brief stint as a theatre major at the University of Southern California, she returned home to Ohio to complete a B.A. in Communications from The Ohio State University.
After spending time as a media coordinator for an advertising agency, a car sales associate, a retail employee, and a modeling talent scout, Alicia finally settled in as a substitute teacher. She returned to school and obtained a Master of Education in Literacy Instruction from Ashland University and began teaching full-time.
Now she is pursuing another dream, and is completing her graduation residency in Spalding University’s Master of Fine Arts in Writing program. She is a member of Romance Writers of America (Central Ohio Fiction Writers and Kiss of Death chapters), International Thriller Writers, Sisters in Crime (SiC Columbus Ohio chapter), and Mystery Writers of America, as well as other local writing cooperatives.
She lives in Jeffersonville, Ohio with her ever-tolerant husband, Doug, and amazing daughter, Jillian. In her free time she can be found at the local movie theatre, curled up on the sofa with a good book, or in the barn taking care of the family’s three horses, nine chickens, six cats, and two dogs.
Alicia is currently at work on her next novel.
